Apple Pie
- Ingredients:
Crust:
2 cups almonds
pinch of salt
1 cup dates
1/4 cup maple syrup
Syrup:
1/4 cup dates
1 peeled orange
some water to desired consistency (about 1/8 cup)
Filling:
4 Apples thinly sliced and peeled
1/4 cup raisins
2 TBSPS cinnamon
- Directions:
1. To make crust process ingredients but not too much so it’s somewhat chunky.
2. At the bottom of the pie dish sprinkle some ground almonds so the dough wont stick to it.
3. Carefully with your hand spread and press the dough on the pie dish. Set aside.
4. To make syrup blend dates and orange first and then add water to help make it “syrupy”. Set aside.
5. To make filling place apples and raisins in a bowl. Add cinnamon and syrup. Mix well and pour it on crust.
6. Refrigerate for a couple of hours so the crust will get more firm.
